Brief Project Description

The project is the initiative of a consortium of four (04) National NGO (s) and international (s). it consists in the implementation of advocacy, building coalitions to develop policies and strategies on Sexual Rights and Reproductive Health in four sub-Saharan countries in West Africa with visits experience and studies in three countries of Southern Africa.
The project works with coalitions of civil society, regional institutions (UNFPA, WAHO, ECOWAS, SADC) and government authorities in West Africa and Southern Africa to create a synergy of national and regional efforts and advocacy lobbying.

Objectives of the action

The project targets 02:

1) Advocate and help improve policy and SRHR strategy on priority themes AmplifyChange the regional and national levels in four sub-Saharan countries in West Africa (Mali, Guinea, Niger, Burkina Faso);

2) Facilitate capacity building, engagement and networking of civil society organizations for better implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the impact of SRHR policies in four sub-Saharan countries in Africa West (Mali, Guinea, Niger, and Burkina Faso).

The institutions and regional and international organizations, governments and coalitions of civil society organizations for repositioning family planning in 04 countries of operation of the country (Mali, Guinea, Niger, Burkina Faso).

Project expected result (s)

The main results of the project are:

• careful planning of advocacy,

• commitment and increased influence of CSOs on policy and budget processes,

• changes in policies, laws and budgetary allocations for SRHR,

• improving the quality of data and analysis that enable advocates to use evidence to support their work,

• strengthened capacity of CSOs to advocate for SRHR,

• greater involvement of potential allies in all sectors and movements,

• strengthening collaboration between CSOs.

Main activities of the project

• The study on the performance of Rights in Sexual and Reproductive Health for 6 countries (Mali, Guinea, Niger, Burkina Faso, Malawi and Malawi)

• The Implementation of advocacy, lobbying and influence of CSOs in West Africa, Mali, Guinea, Niger and Burkina Faso,

• The realization of experience exchange visits to Malawi and Uganda in Southeast Africa.

• Capacity building of disabled people’s organizations and civil society organizations.
